OUR MISSION
IS CRYSTAL CLEAR:
Reinstate the six sports programs – men's and women's cross country, men's track and field, women's rowing, men's rowing, and women's swimming – that were unjustly and abruptly cut by Athletic Director Craig Pintens.
We stand as advocates for fairness, transparency, and the preservation of the diverse and inclusive athletic community that defines Loyola Marymount University. Our commitment is unwavering: To restore the dreams, aspirations, and futures of the athletes whose hard work and dedication were abruptly disregarded.
SaveLMUSports was born out of a collective belief that the decision to discontinue 6 sports programs at LMU was not just a blow to athletics but a betrayal of the very values that define LMU's community. We are a coalition of athletes, alumni, supporters, and advocates who refuse to accept the erasure of dreams and the dismantling of a legacy built on hard work, dedication, and passion.
Our mission goes beyond saving sports; it's about preserving the heart and soul of LMU athletics. The abrupt termination of these programs has left athletes in limbo, their futures uncertain and dreams shattered. SaveLMUSports is the rallying cry for those who believe in fairness, transparency, and the right of every athlete to pursue their passion without the threat of unjust decisions.
We invite you to join our movement, to stand with us in challenging the decision to cut these six sports. Together, we will be the voice that demands accountability, transparency, and justice for the athletes whose dreams deserve to be reinstated.
